Is Wife Maya Present at the Olympics to Support Xander Schauffele? Latest Paris Update Sheds Massive Relief For Team U.S.A

Xander Schauffele is in Paris, competing with the greatest players to defend his Olympic title at the 2020 Tokyo Games. He is currently tied at T1 with Spain’s Jon Rahm. And while he is fighting for the gold with all he’s got, Schaueffle finds solace in knowing his support system is right by his side in Paris. You must be wondering who we are talking about. Well, there’s no greater support than that someone special. And the golfer agrees!

The nine-time PGA winner’s wife, Maya Schaueffle, is in Paris cheering for him. In the recent story posted by Mrs. Schaueffle on Instagram, fans could see the Eiffel Tower with Olympic rings from a lower angle. She beautifully captioned the video and wished the golfer and his caddie, Austin Kaiser, good luck while also hyping up Team USA.

The caption read, “Always rooting for you, @Xander_Schaueffle & @austin-kaiser ❤ Let’s go Team USA”. This is not the first time she has proven to Schaueffle’s massive relief in the field of brutal competitions. She has been there with him since 2014, that’s right! The pair have spent a total of 10 years together! She was right by his side at almost every golf tournament he played. And their journey together is no short of beautiful.

The golfer met his future wife when they were both students at San Diego State University in 2014. And they’ve been each other’s rock ever since, and the most surprising part is that Schauffele had his fair share of doubts about being with Maya and competing in professional golf. “I never thought I could play golf at a high level and care about someone else besides myself,” he said in an interview with Golf in 2021.

However, the golfer came to realize otherwise. “But it’s pretty special to care for someone else that way and to have that someone care for you.” And the rest, as they say, is history. Presently, fans get to see little glimpses of their lives every now and then. For instance, the golfer shared a picture of their wedding on Instagram in 2021!

After dating for almost 7 years, the pair tied the knot in July 2021 at their home in Las Vegas. They kept it small and intimate, with only a few family members and their two dogs there to celebrate with them.
