Serena Williams’ father has been caught speeding and fined in Palm Beach, Florida, despite experienced medical professionals warning the 82-year-old senior to stay away from the wheel of motor vehicles.
Richard Williams, born in 1942, was stopped on July 12 when he was caught by a police laser gun going at 44 miles per hour in a 35 zone, leading to him to incur a minor fine of $131 after his physician warned him he struggled with cognitive tasks such as following directions.

“You have had problems with driving and directions. We discussed this and you stated you now have a driver,” Dr. Monica Walker wrote in a letter to the courts regarding Williams’ mental capacity.
“Time, place, and person comprehension have not been part of your memory difficulty.
“However, driving demands quick decisions in situations of uncertainty. You are advised not to drive because you do not have the ability to do this.”
Williams has not heeded the warning however, and has been spotted driving himself, his wife and their child multiple times through recent years before the law finally decided to bite his hand with the fine.
