Austin Butler proves, again, he’s the king of underrated Carhartt pieces

Austin Butler is a certified Carhartt bro. Sure, he’s not in the woods chopping down trees or getting his hands dirty on a construction site (that we know of), but his love for workwear is real. He’s been spotted wearing really rare discontinued jackets in NYC, and has incorporated Carhartt’s pants, jackets, and hoodies into his wardrobe with an almost Steve Jobs-like uniformity.

You could say Butler is a pretty consistent dresser, given his regular workwear fits, but if you’re an eagle-eyed menswear geek you might notice subtle differences in each of his fits. Like over the weekend, when he was spotted wearing a black Detroit jacket. With its trademark zippered breast pocket. Butler’s has some scuffs and wear marks across the chest, which could indicate that it’s a vintage model, or that he’s been wearing it consistently – which we love.

Back in December last year he was seen wearing a now discontinued Carhartt Traditional jacket that became a certified menswear grail thanks to its post-2000s rarity.

Carhartt jackets are always going to be cool. Sure if you’re a vintage Carhartt obsessive, you could probably find a Traditional jacket, but you can get an equally classic, Austin Butler-approved, and just as cool Detroit jacket without the hassle.
