Meghan Markle’s blunt 7-word response when asked about quitting career for Prince Harry
Before marrying Prince Harry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor in May 2018, Meghan Markle was known for her role on TV drama Suits where she played a paralegal named Rachel Zane.
Following her royal marriage, she decided to step away from her acting job and subsequently close her social media sites and blog website, called The Tig.
When asked about how Meghan felt about leaving her acting career behind in her first worldwide interview following Harry’s proposal, she gave a blunt 7-word response: “I just see it as a change”.
BBC interviewer, Mishal Husain, was keen to know how she saw her new role as the Duchess of Sussex. Meghan fully explained: “I don’t see it as giving anything up, I just see it as a change. It’s a new challenge.”
The former actress added: “And also keep in mind I have been working on my show for seven years.
Long before Meghan became the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan played her character for seven seasons. She has since been candid about her close friendships with the cast and many of her castmates attended her wedding at St George’s Chapel with their partners.
