Meghan Markle’s 43rd birthday plans revealed as she opts for something different this year
It’s a day for celebration in Montecito as Meghan Markle marks her 43rd birthday, with Prince Harry, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet sure to make her feel special.
But the Duchess of Sussex has chosen her big day this year to shine a light on cyber bullying in a new interview she and Prince Harry have done with CBS Sunday Morning
The chat with Jane Pauley will air in the US on the morning of Meghan’s birthday as the Sussexes open up about their quest to protect children online.
Besides the couple’s TV interview, the Sussexes are expected to celebrate Meghan’s birthday in a rather low-key way.
The pair have been living in California with their young family for the past four years, and tend to keep a low profile in the exclusive town where they reside.
They have been known to hang out at some of the area’s swankiest restaurants, such as Tre Lune (where Meghan marked her 42nd birthday last year) and Lucky’s Steakhouse, so they could be enjoying a celebratory meal out tonight.
Meghan and Harry’s children will no doubt be enjoying the birthday fun at home too, as will her mother Doria Ragland whom she is extremely close to.
Her friendships are also very important to Meghan so a girls’ hangout could be on the cards, similarly to last year when she had a belated birthday lunch with hair colourist Kadi Lee and author Cleo Wade.
PR expert Mayah Riaz told The Mirror last year that Meghan would likely prefer a quiet celebration for her birthday with just her family and close friends.
