Prince Harry and Meghan Markle LIVE: ‘Confusing behaviour’ blasted after huge announcement
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been called out on their “confusing behaviour” after announcing an unofficial royal tour to Colombia despite declaring the UK is too UK too dangerous to visit.
It’s believed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit the South American country later this year after reportedly accepting an invitation from Colombia’s Vice President Francia Marquez but the exact details are unknown.
Colombia, which has more than halved its murder rate since its 90s peak, continues to struggle with crime, kidnapping, and civil unrest. The move prompted criticism from some who have compared levels of safety in Britain with those in Colombia, where the Foreign Office says terrorists are “very likely” to carry out attacks.
Commentator Samara Gill told Skly News Australia: “He, obviously, this last week on ITV, said that London is not safe or the UK is not safe for his children. But then this week also confirmed that he’s happy to go to Colombia, which is one of the most unsafe countries on the face of the Earth.
