Inside Meghan Markle’s entrepreneurial efforts and why they’ve stalled as new brands fail to take off
As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle prepare to get their new initiative The Parents Network off the ground, we take a closer look at some of Meghan's business endeavours - including the ones that didn't go to plan
Since stepping away from life as working royals back in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have kept themselves busy with a variety of projects alongside their joint parenting efforts for children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The latest project helmed by the power couple actually puts their children at the heart of it. The Parents’ Network is a new initiative designed to tackle the problem of online bullying and promote healthier online habits to protect our children from the dangers on the internet.
Opening up about the project in a recent CBS interview, Meghan told audiences: “I think when you’ve been through any level of pain or trauma, I believe part of our healing journey, certainly part of mine, is being able to be really open about it. And I haven’t really scraped the surface on my experience but I do think that I would never want someone else to feel that way.”
She added: ”If me voicing what I have overcome will save someone or encourage someone in their life to really, genuinely check in on them and not assume that the appearance is good so everything is okay, then that’s worth it. I’ll take a hit for that.”
As part of the new initiative, The Parents’ Network, offers a ‘safe, free-to-access peer-support network’ and features ‘comprehensive advice and resources provided by a licensed facilitator’, aiming to give ‘invaluable support to those in need’.
Yet while the project is clearly close to the Duchess’ heart, it isn’t the first business idea Meghan has chased in recent years – and not all of them have been successful.
