‘He’s Washed’: Jordan Spieth’s Confidence Laughed at By Fans Despite Positive Surgery Update
Jordan Spieth’s wrist issues started in May 2023 when he was playing with his son, Sammy Spieth. But the 31-year-old did not deem it as grave as it turned out to be in the 2024 season. After the first incident, Spieth felt the impact while making breakfast for his son, and the third time at the RBC Heritage when a tendon popped out while making a bunker shot. Things then dwindled, and he was close to withdrawing, but he didn’t. He continued for the rest of the reason.
However, in August he finally underwent a procedure to treat the ulnar nerve damage and now made his first appearance at the amateur fundraiser event, Crush It! Cup at the Brookhaven Country Club. There, the 13-time PGA Tour winner talked about the PGA Tour-PIF merger delay, what he was up to during the hiatus, and also when he will be ready to be back. The NUCLR Golf quoted Spieth on X as he revealed his possible comeback date.
Hoping for the best, he said, “I think that by 2025, by Jan. 1, it’s my goal to be tournament-ready. And for me, that would be not just going out and seeing how it feels, you know, but expecting to play at my ceiling.” However, Spieth is not exempt from playing in The Sentry, which will start on January 2nd, 2025. Yet he wants to be prepared to play his best again and be in the winning circle once again.
