Emma Raducanu has just issued unbelievably confident Wimbledon statement

Emma Raducanu has issued one of her most confident statements ever as the 21-year-old Briton believes her lifting a Wimbledon trophy is “just a matter of when really.”

Raducanu, who famously won her first Grand Slam title as an 18-year-old playing in her second Grand Slam tournament at the 2021 US Open, hasn’t made it past the second round at a Slam since or won any titles.

But since returning to tennis at the start of this season following three surgeries, Raducanu has looked much better on the court and has shown some positive signs that suggest she is trending in the right direction.

And now that Raducanu has managed to stay healthy over a longer period and that she has been able to make certain strides in her game, she is confident that major success will follow.

“I feel good. I’m playing well and I’m training really hard, I’m doing a lot of good things and I know it’s going to happen. If not this Wimbledon, the next Wimbledon,” Raducanu told Grazia.

“I fully back myself and trust myself. It’s just a matter of when really. I’ve been doing all the right things so I’m just looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd.”
