Tommy Fleetwood wife: Who is Clare Craig? Open golfer reveals wife’s joy in candid video

Tommy Fleetwood, who will play in the final round of The British Open 2018 today, is a shot off the lead while Rory McIlroy has also surged into contention in Carnoustie.

The professional golfer’s wife Clare Craig tweeted to say she was going to be at the tournament with her husband as she thanked fans for their support online

Who is Clare Craig?

The Southport-born athlete wed his spouse and agent in the Bahamas in December, shortly after he competed in the Hero World Challenge.

Before meeting him, she worked for Hambric Sports Management and was its European vice president for a number of years.

“My brother, Joe, working at Hambric is obviously a big plus point, but I get on well with Clare Craig,” he said at the time.

The star added: “She’s always been around on tour, and I’ve chatted to her a lot over the years.”

Their nuptials came two months after the couple welcomed baby boy Franklin, and he broke the news on Twitter.

“The most beautiful and proud moment of my life! Franklin Fleetwood born at 12.33 on 28/9/17 at 7 pounds 6 ounces,” Tommy informed his 60,000 followers.

Clare also has two children from a previous relationship: Oscar and Mo.

While Tommy rarely shares photos of his family on Instagram, he gushed about his wife after triumphing at the Open de France last year: “My beautiful, amazing fiancé Clare Craig thank you for everything.

“Looking after me in every way possible at home and at work! I love you!!”

Clare was also previously the trustee of The Richard Burns Foundation before it closed down in March.

The mother-of-three has an active Twitter account, which she has been posting from during The British Open 2018 to her 2,295 followers.

She shared a video of a candid moment Tommy was given a gift for their little boy alongside his caddy Ian Finnis earlier this week.
