‘Stressed Out’ Bride Madelene Sagstrom and Husband Bets Their ‘Ultimate Honeymoon’ on a Solheim Cup Dream
From Boston to London and then to Virginia, Madelene Sagstrom had a whirlwind few weeks. Yet, the European Solheim Cupper calls it ‘perfect.’ She was in Boston for the FM Championship, the last preparation before the Virginia showdown. Then it was a flight to the UK to walk down the aisle with her long-time boyfriend. And now she is back in the USA for the Solheim Cup.
Sagstrom married Jack Clarke last Saturday. Actually, the Swede pulled out of the final round of the FM Championship. The Sunday round was delayed, which might have made them miss the most important flight of their life. On Saturday, they tied the knot, and on Sunday, both were ready for the next stop: Robert Trent Jones Golf Club.
The Ladies European Tour posted on their Instagram handle, “Married on Saturday, head to Solheim Cup on Sunday .” Indeed, it’s the ultimate honeymoon in Virginia for Sagstrom and her husband.
In a chat with the LET media team, the 31-year-old said, “I get to do the two things I love, two weeks in a row. I get to spend time with my family, with your (Jack Clarke) family, with all our friends, and I get to play in the most prestigious events as a European.”
