Queen Camilla gives rare five-word update on King Charles’ health amid cancer treatment

King Charles is “doing well” as he continues to undergo treatment for cancer, Queen Camilla has revealed.

The monarch was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer back in February and has been undergoing treatment for the last seven months. Camilla gave a rare update on her husband’s health as she visited the Dyson Cancer Center in England on Tuesday.

The Queen toured the new facility before meeting with staff and patients. She also visited the Macmillan Wellbeing Hub, which offers practical and emotional support to patients, families, and carers. During a meeting with Suzy Moon of the Macmillan Partnership, Camilla answered a question about Charles’ health.

He had taken a step back from his duties following his diagnosis. Camilla had stepped up after Kate Middleton was also diagnosed with cancer. Charles has since returned to work.

Buckingham Palace issued a statement back in April on the monarch’s return to public duties. It read: “His Majesty The King will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis.”

The statement concluded: “As the first anniversary of The Coronation approaches, Their Majesties remain deeply grateful for the many kindnesses and good wishes they have received from around the world throughout the joys and challenges of the past year.”
