Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s final blow to Queen Elizabeth revealed amid bitter royal feud

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were “disrespectful” of Queen Elizabeth in the months following her death, a royal expert has claimed.

The late monarch died in September 2022, but that didn’t stop the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from releasing their explosive Netflix docuseries just two months later. The couple had flown over to the U.K. for the Queen’s funeral before returning to their home in Montecito, California.

Their Netflix show, titled Harry & Meghan, was filmed when the Queen was “in rapidly declining health,” according to royal commentator Richard Eden. The show caused tensions with the royal family as Meghan and Harry accused them of “leaking” stories to the press.

In the docuseries, Meghan detailed what it was like when she was first introduced to the royal family. She gave a dramatic curtsy as she recalled meeting the late Queen.

“It’s surreal. It wasn’t like some big moment of like, ‘Now you’re going to meet my grandmother,” Meghan said in the clip. “I didn’t know I was going to meet her until moments before.”

She added, “And I remember we were in the car and we were driving up and he’s like ‘You know how to curtsy right?’ And I just thought it was a joke.”

Meghan was heavily criticized for the extravagant curtsy she gave in the show as she re-enacted the encounter with the monarch. Many accused her of mocking Elizabeth.

Eden suggested the “most disrespectful” parts of the docuseries were “the sections of the program devoted to denigrating the Commonwealth.” He pointed out how it was something that was close to Elizabeth’s heart.
