James Middleton reveals secret holiday destinations with Kate and Pippa in new interview

James Middleton has revealed new information about Princess Kate’s childhood over the last week as he sat down for a candid interview.

The brother of the future Queen, 37, told The Sunday Times about the holidays he went on as a child with his sisters Pippa and Kate, along with their parents Michael and Carole Middleton.

While it is known that Princess Kate enjoys the outdoors, it is now believed that her love of nature could be a result of the types of holidays the three siblings took with their parents.

In The Sunday Times, James said: “Holidays tended to be packing up the car and driving somewhere.

“My parents, sisters and I would visit different places in the Swiss Alps each summer, such as Les Masses, or we’d go to Avoriaz in France.”

He continued: “Dad would find a mountain refuge where we’d have a rather sloppy soup-like meal for tea, but we were so hungry from a day of hiking that it tasted amazing.

“Then we would fall fast asleep in our bunk — we’d sleep on one long bunk, all five of us — surrounded by other walkers.

“The next day we’d wake up early, put our walking boots back on and continue our trek, ending up in another village.”

As well as hiking holidays abroad, the family also spent plenty of time in the Lake District together, as reported by People.
